Other Worlds: The Art of Illustration

I am curating an upcoming art show of some amazing Illustrators at Western Oregon University on January 9th through February 8th. Opening reception is from 4:30pm - 6pm on the 9th

Some huge names in the world of illustration at this show, as well as some rising stars. I also created the show card and poster using the artists work that will be in the show.

 

 

 

The Eleventh Hour, final Pic

So hour eleven was simply spent taking photos hoping my crappy camera could get a decent one that I could use. I should have borrowed a better camera, but I was not thinking...oh well..

Got a decent one. Brought it into photoshop fixed some of the loss of color and sharpness. Also tilted the floor a bit more because it was not sitting right.

A digital practice piece

I don't have a tablet so I draw with my mouse (or practice drawing with my mouse). This is just a picture a friend took and I tried to sort of mimic it. The body is out of whack but in the original picture the body is almost impossible to even see. I took some liberties with buildings, trees, and sky in mine.

The picture isn't completed but it has been in this state for at least a month, so I think perhaps by default that means its done. At least for the time being.
